  • Search for plugin to install in your WordPress website.
  • Edit the page/post/custom post type and select image block
  • Click on "Media Library" button to open WordPress media popup
  • Select the "Openverse/Pixabay Images" tab
  • Search for images

From within dashboard (recommended)

  1. Navigate to Dashboard > Plugins > Add New;

  3. Click Install, then Activate.

Manual installation

  1. Download the plugin as a .zip file;
  2. Unzip downloaded archive and upload free-images folder under your /wp-content/plugins/ directory (resulted plugin path should be /wp-content/plugins/free-images/**);
  3. Navigate to Dashboard > Plugins and activate the plugin.

Sadly the latest update creates a dashboard message that you can't get rid of regarding usage data submission.

Such a perfect, well thought(how do i say this, the lightbox work you did), fast and simplest plugin ­čÖé just a suggestion: I wish there be one like this for unsplash too (or can be incorporated to this) & yes option for size too.

What a great plugin and I don't see any others like it. Since I use this with students in school I asked developer to add the SafeSearch option to the latest release and he did it! Now my students can safely search for images on PixaBay for the featured images I require of them on their posts. Wow!
