FAQ
What’s the requirement for using Dashboard Welcome?
You need Elementor plugin installed and activated for Dashboard Welcome to work.
Do I need coding experience to use Dashboard Welcome?
I was very excited to discover this plugin, so when I tried to use it but the dashboard didn’t change, I emailed their support. The reply I got was fast and clear. The custom dashboard I designed with Elementor showed up as soon as I took their advice to «Please check and confirm if you have not enabled the hide option for the welcome page in the upper-screen option.» That solved the problem and my custom Elementor Dashboard is working! If you think this plugin isn’t working, before troubleshooting, make sure you haven’t unchecked the dashboard screen options Welcome box by mistake. Thank you so much for the help and this fantastic plugin!
As an avid user of Elementor, I’ve been on the lookout for complementary solutions to enhance the user experience. Unfortunately, the «Dashboard Welcome for Elementor» plugin hasn’t met my expectations.
The primary reason for my disappointment lies in the lack of updates for the plugin for quite some time. The absence of updates could potentially lead to security issues and compatibility problems with the latest versions of WordPress and Elementor. It’s crucial for plugins to be regularly maintained to ensure optimal performance and security, and this lack of ongoing support from developers is concerning.
Moreover, a critical aspect of an Elementor plugin is its ability to seamlessly integrate with the graphical style and functionalities of the editor. Unfortunately, «Dashboard Welcome for Elementor» falls short in this regard. The absence of control over graphical styling through Elementor is a significant limitation as users seek uniformity and customization without resorting to additional code or alternative solutions.
I’m disappointed that a plugin that could have potentially enhanced the Elementor user experience has been left without updates and hasn’t adequately addressed integration with the editor. Ultimately, I cannot currently recommend «Dashboard Welcome for Elementor» due to its lack of active support and essential functionalities for the Elementor user experience.
Great idea! I downloaded the plugin – my slightly dyslexic brain read «Compatible up to WordPress 6.1.3» as 6.3.1, so I thought I was good to go. Spent some time creating a fabulous new Client Dashboard page for my client, but it’s not showing up. Not sure what to do as it seems the author hasn’t maintaining the plugin for WP updates. I hope this isn’t the case, because I really like the idea very much as a client site handover tool, and would use it for all my clients’ sites that I develop.
The plugin works great, some things to note though:
If you disable the welcome message in your dashboard, the created dashboard disappears (which makes sense, since it replaces the default welcome message from wordpress) but still important to keep in mind.
Using global colors/custom set colors and global fonts/custom set fonts will not work, you have to use hex colors and set the typography manually for the styles to work.
When the dashboards loads, images and text appear distorted at first. We «fixed» that in our case using a fade-in animation from animista.net
All in all pretty good plugin after adding some tweaks to the animation and styling of the dashboard.
